Earth Day deals are a reminder of two things: that you could probably be doing more to minimize your personal impact, and that the government could definitely be doing more to minimize the dire impact of the few major corporations that are overwhelmingly fueling climate change.

Earth Day 2024 (April 22) is particularly a big one because it falls in the middle of a major election cycle. There's one considerable free thing you can do: research the climate-related stances of candidates on your ballot and vote accordingly.

When it comes to voting with your dollars, switching to chewable toothpaste from a jar over disposable plastic tubes or to laundry detergent sheets over disposable plastic jugs are quick, easy, sustainable swaps that are often cheaper around Earth Day. Plus, Earth Month is also a great time to recycle an old device you've been trying to replace. During all of April, Best Buy is offering extra discounts on tech items that you recycle in-store. For instance, recycling any old laptop or tablet unlocks an extra $50 off any Microsoft Surface device, combinable with any current discounts.

Check out over 25 of the best Earth Day deals below as of April 22.

SodaStream
Save up to $60 on sparkling water makers

Why we like it

A refreshing, fizzy treat on a warm day doesn't have to come at the cost of making an annoying trip to the store — or at the cost of a single-use plastic bottle (or six). Getting a SodaStream on your counter gives you the ability to turn plain water into virtually any flavor of sparkling water that you want. Flavor options include Pepsi, Mountain Dew, kombucha, and a ton of flavors from Bubly.

Bite
Save 40% on sets including toothpaste bits, floss, and refillable deodorant

Why we like it

Your toothpaste situation is a great place to start on your journey to be more eco-friendly at home. Bite's chewable Toothpaste Bits are a Shark Tank star that can virtually eliminate the plastic footprint of one of the most wasteful bathroom habits — and look way less crusty while doing it. Your chewable tablets arrive in a refillable glass jar and taste really good, all while avoiding potentially toxic additives typically found in traditional toothpaste.

Besides its chewable toothpaste, Bite also offers bathroom swaps like zero-waste whitening kits and a refillable body moisturizer that ditches the plastic pump and adds ingredients like hyaluronic acid.

Amazon device trade-in deals
Save 20% on select Amazon devices and get a gift card when you trade in select devices

Why we like it

In general, one of the best (and free) ways to be environmentally responsible is to avoid overconsumption. However, if you have old tech that's on the fritz or that you don't use anymore, trading in your device is one way to make sure it gets recycled or given a new life. Amazon's incentivizing customers to do just that this Earth Day, offering 20% off Amazon devices like Kindles and FireTVs and an Amazon gift card when you trade in old Amazon and non-Amazon devices, like cell phones and gaming accessories.
