Seven years ago, a woman named Sarah Kauss set out to design a vessel that would make plastic water bottles obsolete. A lofty goal? Um, yeah: Around the same time, the average American was using 167 disposable bottles annually (and recycling only 38 of them).

Still, Kauss was determined: "I believed that if we made a crave-worthy bottle that combined fashion with function, people would stop buying disposable bottles, and we could reduce single-use plastic consumption worldwide," she writes. With that mission in mind, S'well was born.

Durable, lightweight, and spill-proof, S'well's non-toxic and BPA-free water bottles are a chic and reusable alternative to your average chemical-leaching plastic variety. Plus, they're able to regulate your beverage's temperature, keeping your cold drinks cold for up to 24 hours and your hot drinks hot for up to 12.

Available in four different colors — Ruby, Emerald, Pink Diamond, and Sapphire — the stainless steel bottles in S'well's stylish new Gem Collection feature a satin translucent finish and hold 17 ounces of whatever you feel like sipping at the moment, from water to rosé to a triple-shot soy latte with no foam and a caramel drizzle.
